Are You Considering Home Improvements?
YOU NEED ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL APPROVAL BEFORE BEGINNING EXTERIOR CHANGES TO YOUR HOME!!!!! Click to print form.
Because of recent HAIL STORM Architectural Control Approval required on all changes to existing establishment.

Guidelines for Roof replacement - All replacement materials must be approved by the Board PRIOR to installation. You may replace with wood shake, Composite (asphalt ) or steel. If Asphalt, the product MUST carry a minimum 40 year warranty. Whatever product you select the product must be consistent in colorand texture and style with a "wood shake". As a side note, please make sure you are dealing with a reputable company and check licences, insurance, references, etc. At this time of year there are a lot of "storm chasers" who may not be as they represent themselves.

ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL APPROVAL - NEEDED BEFORE BEGINNING EXTERIOR CHANGES TO HOME!!
As always, approval is required for new construction and ANY improvements to your home including fences, decks, new roof. Note that this includes ALL exterior painting. Please request approval prior to beginning exterior changes. To access the required forms, visit the Estates of Ashton website. The Architectural Form must be stamped "approved" according to the by-laws before proceeding on any project.

Roofing - all replacements of all or any portion of a completed structure because of age, casualty loss, or other reason (such as a building addition) including without limitation, roofing and siding shall be the SAME materials, unless the changes have been submitted and approved in writing by Architectural Control Committee.
If proper procedures are not obtained and your property does not meet with the requirements of the subdivision, a possible lien on your property can be placed. The Architectural Control Committee works hard to quickly approve homeowner's requests, but please remember there is a review process to assure all guidelines are properly met.

*Curbs - if your property has damage to the curb at the end of your driveway, please contact the City of Olathe at 971-8700 and they will make an evaluation of your property to determine proper repair. This will need to be handled by each property owner as the City of Olathe general repair is asphalt and that is a personal preference; they could determine masonry repair but that is the discretion of the individual that evaluates your request.

MESSAGE FROM HOA PRESIDENT
Our Ashton Estates subdivision has had great success with our website at www.ashtonestateshoa.com which posts the HOA documents, pool rules, upcoming activities and information if you would like to contact a board member.

Thank you to the many volunteers that have assisted our subdivision by volunteering their services such as electrical services provided by volunteers, those that assisted with opening of the pool for the season, as well as the many families that volunteer each summer in locking/closing the pool. Your assistance is greatly appreciated in maintaining the appearance of our subdivision.

Yours truly, Stacy Boucher - President

SOCIAL EVENTS
Want to know what is going on in our subdivision? Check the Ashton Estates website upcoming events- The fun continues.

SUBDIVISION POOL
We have had great success with key cards being the only access into the subdivision pool. With the use of the pool camera- system and the key card system, this assists with less mischievous activity at the pool. The camera-system can identify any vandalism, and with the key card system we can find out the last entries into the pool to determine the party that was involved in damage to the pool premises. If a member of Ashton Estates is the individual that caused damage to the pool, there is the possibility of having the key card removed from the system for the year and that family will be responsible for damage to the property.

BUY A POOL CARD

*Keycards - each homeowner has purchased their own keycards for entry into the pool. The cost for replacement of the card is $30 each if paid with paypal and $25 if paid with cash or check. You may order additional cards on the attached Homeowners Due Statement. The cards have a number in the corner which identifies the member with that specific card, which is maintained in a database.
